Membership designed for long-term producer value and delivery goals.
One-time Membership Fee:
$62.50 per unit
Legacy Beef Co-op membership is based on the number of cattle you plan to deliver through the co-op. Each unit represents one head of cattle committed annually through the co-op, with delivery timing scheduled in advance according to the terms of the agreement.
There are no annual membership renewals or recurring membership fees. Membership is designed as a one-time investment tied to your committed delivery volume.
How membership works
1. Choose your committed head count
Producers purchase units based on the number of cattle they plan to deliver through the co-op each year. For example, if a producer purchases 100 units, that represents a commitment to deliver 100 head annually.
2. Pay a one-time unit fee
Each unit is $62.50. This one-time membership investment establishes your participation in the co-op based on your committed delivery volume, with no annual renewal or recurring membership fee.
3. Schedule cattle deliveries
Members can schedule cattle deliveries through the member portal, helping make delivery planning easier and more organized. Delivery scheduling helps coordinate cattle movement, processor capacity and the co-op’s annual delivery schedule.
4. Track delivery information
Through the member portal, members can access delivery-related information such as past delivery dates, cattle delivered to date and delivery performance, giving producers a clearer record of their participation over time.
What if your delivery plans change?
Cattle production does not always go exactly as planned. If you know your delivery numbers may change, the most important step is to contact the co-op as early as possible.
-
Reach out to the co-op well in advance. The team can talk through your situation and help determine next steps based on timing, delivery volume and available options.
-
If your operation grows or you want to increase your committed delivery volume, additional units may be purchased based on the number of additional cattle you plan to deliver.
-
Delivery commitments help the co-op coordinate cattle movement, processor capacity and the annual delivery schedule. The earlier a change is communicated, the more opportunity there is to adjust and work toward a practical solution.
Premium grid pricing
Members have access to a negotiated premium grid designed to better recognize cattle quality, performance and final product value. This gives producers a pricing structure built around quality-based premiums and discounts, helping create a clearer connection between the cattle they raise and the value they receive.
Collective buying power
By joining together, producers can participate with greater collective scale while each farm remains independent. This shared structure helps create a stronger marketing position and more competitive opportunities than many producers may be able to achieve alone.
A structured producer-to-processor relationship
Members commit to delivering cattle, and the processor commits to receiving and processing cattle according to the terms of the program. This creates a more dependable path from producer to processor.
